Bimetallic Barrel & Hp/Hvof Spray Coated Surface Hardened Screw

Designed For Plastic Moulding Use-Having Good Abrasion And Corrosion Resistant

With a view to up-grade and achieve better stability in quality products, TAN STAR MATERIAL CO. LTD., had undertaken great efforts in the field of research and development in order to reach this goal. Since our Co. Had gained ISO 9002 certification in the year 1997, we have continued to acquire modern equipment to improve the manufacturing process of our bimetallic barrel and screws.

As for our bimetallic barrel, we have raised its tungsten carbide coning length to 25% and more than 40% from the previous 9.5% of tungsten and increased the processing length to 4000mm from the previous length of 30000mm, For Screws too, we have adopted a new method of surface hardening process by HP/HVOF coating of the entire screw surface in-stead of only hard-facing the screw flights by PTA treatment.

With the twenty-five years' experience to our credit, we have been able to produce the most important components of a plastic machine-bimetallic barrel and screw-to face the challenge posed in using all kinds of engineering plastic raw materials by increasing their anti-abrasion resistance strength and anti-corrosion resistance strength.

Spary Coating Application

  • For screws used in plastic injection moulding machines.
  • For surface hardness treatment of parts and accessories used in the aero-space industries.
  • For screws and rollers used in plastic extrusion moulding machine, cement manufacturing machine, printing press, paper-marking machines.
  • For surface hardness treatment of moulds and any metal parts after casting and in ship-building industries.
  • For petro-chemical industries, including oil drilling pipe's surface hardening.

Coating Feature

  • High degree for alloy density and hardness with low rate of porosity.
  • Even heating of alloy powder with low rate of residual stress.
  • Attaining effective spray coating.
  • High impact energy and achieving even distribution of hardness.
  • High anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion resistance strength as well as withstanding high temperature.
  • High adhesive strength with adjustable coating thickness.

Depending on the kind of quality steel used and the special features for application, there are three grades of bimetallic barrels produced by our Co., namely:

  • TS-A GRADE:Bimetallic powder of cylinder is including 40% Tungsten Carbide, collocate with fully coating (HP/HVOF)bimetallic powder screw or bimetallic powder grade full harden screw.
  • TS-B GRADE:Bimetallic powder of cylinder is including 25% Tungsten Carbide, collocate with fully coating (HP/HVOF) bimetallic powder screw or bimetallic powder grade full harden screw.
  • TS-C GRADE:Bimetallic powder of cylinder is including 9.5% Tungsten Carbide, collocate with full harden screw.

Application Range Of Our Bimetallic Products

  • Our A grade and B grade bimetallic barrel sets can be used to plasticate all kids of engineering plastic raw material with and addition of 50% glass fibre additive and V0 grade anti-inflammatory chemical additives, such as LCP, PA6T, PA46, FR50, PBT, PCT. PC+ABS, ETC.
  • The application of TS-C grade is suitable for highly abrasion resin, for example with engineer resin which is add of 15% glass fiber additive.
