Company History

• 1974
  Initially established as "WAN CHUNG INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE" engaging in the production of plunger barrel and screw, employing a total of 6 workers.
• 1982
  Later on, the name of the establishment was changed to "TAN STAR MATERIAL CO. LTD." and expanding the products to over-seas markets.
• 1990
  Established "YANG SING INDUSTRIAL CO. LTD." as out Tainan Branch to offer more convenient services to the plastic industries in the southern part of the country.
• 1991
  Also made further investment in building the present main factory in the Lin Kou No.4 Industrial Area, with additional purchase of more modern machines and equipment, striving to achieve bulk products of a precision nature, and, at the same time, incorporating foreign technology to start the production of bimetal barrel and PTA bimetallic alloy screw.
• 1993
  Through intensive research and development, succeeded in setting up our new bimetal barrel manufacturing equipment for bulk production of our second generation of bimetal barrels.
• 1995
  Purchased a new plot of land and completed the construction of our No.2 factory which is situated just opposite our main factory site. At the same time, newly purchased a TAFA JP -5000 High Pressure HVOF Coating Equipment from Japan including technical transfer. Also began the process of building a new Centrifugal Casting Furnace for manufacturing our third generation of bimetal barrels.
• 1997
  Passed ISO 9002 certification accredited by DNV, thereby gaining further recognition of our quality products by plastic machine manufacturers from local area and foreign countries as well.
• 1998
  Completion of the entire factory establishment plan in Lin Kou. Undertaken testing high pressure coating of the screw with the newly acquired TAFA equipment, with complete success, and being offered to the market. Beginning the process of mass production of 4mm diameter bimetal barrels.
• 2004
  On the 30 th anniversary of establishment of our main factory, we have also completed the construction and put into operation of our new branch factory in Ning Bo City, Jiat-jiang Province , people's Republic of China. An Electro-plating unit has also been set up in the new branch factory. With a view to further up-grade our planning and designing skill, we have ushered in a new era of entrepreneurial style of management, employing a stall of well over 500 members.
• 2005
  Awarded AFAQ/Best ISO 9001, 2000 Quality Management Systems certifications, extend products' quality from manufacture management to design management, greatly improved products' reliability and stability
• 2008
  Capital increment from NT$ 80,000,000 to NT$ 120,000,000 to build Tan Star Tainan plant and concentrate on the technology and production of bimetal barrel.
